TARCA, the Towns and Rural Communities Association committee, is made up of residents from all areas covered by Meres and Mosses and meets on a monthly basis. The aim of this group is to broaden the partnership between Meres and Mosses and the wider communities and to work constructively with other agencies to bring extra resources to community projects and neighbourhoods.
Anybody can attend TARCA meetings just to see what’s going on, and make your voice heard.
On saturday 7th April TARCA attended the opening of the play park at Manor House Lane, Prees.
TARCA recommended a grant to Meres and Mosses Housing Association board of £7500 for play equipment.
TARCA have also recommended £6000 be ringfenced for a youth pod in Baschurch. Baschurch Residents Action group (BRAG) approached TARCA for help raising funds for the pod. TARCA have agreed to recommend to the Board that half the money be paid to BRAG, and BRAG are holding fundraisers for the other half.
On 1st May TARCA will attend BRAG's fund day with their roadshow and gazebo.
