You now have even more choice where you can pay your rent. We are delighted to announce that our bill payment provider, allpay.net, has joined forces with high street favourite, Woolworths, making it even easier for you to pay your bills. From 2 April 2008, simply hand over your swipe card or barcoded bill, together with your payment in cash or with a debit card, at any till in any of their 800+ UK stores.

By Direct Debit
Direct Debit is a simple and convenient method by which to pay your rent, providing you have a suitable bank or building society account. Direct Debits can be collected weekly on a Friday or monthly on the 1st or 15th of the month. By using Direct Debit, it means that you do not have to write out a cheque or complete paperwork each time the rent changes and cuts out queuing at the Post Office.

You only need to complete the Direct Debit instruction once and if your payment needs changing, we will make the necessary adjustments and you will be notified in plenty of time. Direct Debit is an efficient method of payment and you are guaranteed an immediate refund by your bank or MMHA should any errors occur, as set out in the Direct Debit Guarantee.

By Bank Standing Order
If the dates on which Direct Debits are collected are not suitable for your circumstances, a Bank Standing Order may be an alternative method to automate payments. Please contact your Neighbourhood Services Officer for a form or bank details. When setting up a BSO, don’t forget to quote your agreement reference and that payments take a few days to credit your rent account.

With A Swipe Card
At the Post Office™, you can pay by cash, cheque (payable to Post Office Ltd) or debit card during Post Office™ hours. You can also pay with cash at any PayPoint outlet displaying the sign which are normally located in convenience stores, news stores and service stations. Please retain your receipt as proof of payment and check this against your rent statement when received.

You can also use your swipe card to make debit card payments by phone, online or SMS Text Messaging

Payments can be made by phoning the Call Centre on 0870 243 6040 which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – just follow the voice instructions and record your authorisation code for the transaction.

You can make a payment online by clicking here and following the online instructions to register and make a payment and record your authorisation code for the transaction.
