How We Set Your Rent
Your rent is set in accordance with government guidelines. The aim is that by 2011 tenants renting similar homes in the same area will pay similar rent regardless of which Housing association or Council they rent from.
Meres and Mosses rent setting policies are:
- To cover the assoication's costs of repair and maintenance of the properties, the management of tenancies and loan repayments of the original cost of the buildings.
- To be fair to all tenants, setting rent at levels that can be afforded by householders in low paid employment and ensuring that similar properties have similar rents.
Meres and Mosses reviews rents once a year and any changes come into effect on the first Monday in April.
