When making an application for housing we suggest you read our
Allocations Policies
which explain the procedure of applying for housing.
The housing register is divided into three bands.
| BAND |
DESCRIPTION |
| A |
Band A will consist of those applicants that the Association considers should have additional priority for rehousing |
| B |
Band B will consist of applicants to who the Association intends to give reasonable preference when allocating property. This band is subdivided to reflect varying degrees of priority. |
| C |
Band C will consist of all other applicants who have not been awarded any preference for housing. |
Applications will be considered in date order within these bands.
The Allocations Policies are what the Association will follow when allocating dwellings. It gives details about who can be considered for housing, what type of property they will be considered for and how the priority given to their application is determined.
It also explains that a Housing Register will be maintained containing details of all eligible applicants. All allocations of dwellings, other than those specified in the section of this scheme entitled ‘Other Allocations’ will be made from the Housing Register.
Currently both North Shropshire District Council and ourselves keep a housing register. NSDC can nominate applicants from their housing register to 75% of MMHA’s vacant properties. The other 25% will be nominated from the MMHA register. Therefore applicants should complete an application form for MMHA and NSDC for their best chance of being allocated a property.
