Accessibility
On the Shropshire Housing Group Websites we have a number of different options for those who may find viewing the websites in their original format a problem.
Style Options
These give a choice of background colours to enable those with colour blindness or other visual impairment to find a style of page which best suits them.
Browsealoud
Browsealoud is a service which makes it easy to read and understand web pages. The contents of the page is read out to the user as their mouse goes over the text and it meets individuals needs through customisable voices and the ability to choose how text is displayed.
Browsealoud makes websites more accessible for those with:
- Literacy Difficulties
- Dyslexia
- Mild visual Impairments
- English as a second language.
Features Include:
- High quality voices
- Dual colour highlighting
- Reads MS word and PDF Documents
- Reads secure web pages
- Text magnification Display
- MP3 output
- Talking dictionary
- UK regional voices
- International Languages
Text Options
This gives the user the option to increase the size of the text on a page, or read the page as text only for those with increased visual impairment.
Translations
All of our literature is available for translation, and we also offer a translation service.
