North Shropshire’s newest, and one of its largest, not-for-profit landlords has been on the move.
Meres and Mosses Housing Association (MMHA) has moved into Talbot House in Wem High Street, just a stone’s throw from it’s original offices within the North Shropshire District Council headquarters.
The new offices, above the library, help provide a distinct identify for MMHA which took ownership of 2,300 homes from North Shropshire District Council on 30th July 2007

MMHA’s Customer Services team, Neighbourhood Services team and repairs and improvement teams are all based at the new offices, whilst the Housing Support Officer service is still based out on the older people’s schemes around the district.
MMHA has embarked on a £30m improvement schemes for its homes in North Shropshire, and is part of Shropshire Housing Group which aims to build 500 new affordable homes by 2012.
